Learning needs a safe foundation
Gabay’s future account and AI systems should minimize data, separate roles, protect children and make important actions traceable.
🔐 Data minimization
Collect only information needed to provide and improve the learning experience.
🧒 Child safeguarding
Age-appropriate AI boundaries, family controls where appropriate, reporting and escalation pathways.
👁️ Clear permissions
Learner, guardian, educator, school and Gabay-admin roles see only what their role requires.
🧾 Audit trail
Important changes to assignments, assessment, content and certificates should be traceable.
🗑️ Data controls
Future users need clear retention, export and deletion controls.
🤖 AI transparency
Always distinguish curated Gabay lessons, Kuwago AI coaching and teacher feedback.
Your privacy is part of the learning experience
Gabay Learning Academy is being designed to handle personal data responsibly in accordance with Republic Act No. 10173, the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012, its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and applicable issuances of the National Privacy Commission.
When Gabay collects personal information for live accounts, classrooms, learning progress, portfolios, certificates, parent/guardian links, educator tools, or future Kuwago AI features, the platform should clearly explain what information is collected, why it is needed, how it is used, who may receive it, how long it is retained, and how users can exercise their data-subject rights.
Our privacy principles
Transparency: explain data practices in clear, accessible language. Legitimate purpose: use information only for declared and lawful purposes. Proportionality: collect only information that is adequate, relevant, and necessary for the learning service.
Your data rights
Subject to applicable law, data subjects may have rights to be informed, access their personal data, request correction, object to certain processing, request erasure or blocking when warranted, obtain data portability where applicable, and lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
Children and young learners
Gabay intends to use age-appropriate privacy and safeguarding measures. Child-account and guardian-consent procedures must be finalized before public registration for minors is enabled. Gabay should avoid collecting unnecessary sensitive information from learners.
Important V12 status
This V12 project is a development build. Before public launch, Gabay must finalize the identity and contact details of its Personal Information Controller/Data Protection contact, exact categories and purposes of data processing, lawful bases, recipients/processors, retention periods, account deletion/export procedures, security procedures, and any required consent or guardian flows. This page is therefore a product privacy notice draft, not a substitute for professional legal review.
